About Max
I am a committed piano tutor with 18 years of experience helping students from school, college, and professional backgrounds learn and grow as musicians. I believe that piano education is about combining technical mastery, musical understanding, and personal expression.
My teaching methodology focuses on patience, clarity, and personalised instruction. I assess each student’s level, learning style, and goals, then create tailored lesson plans that strengthen fundamentals such as finger technique, rhythm, hand coordination, and note reading.
I also teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to build complete musicianship. Lessons are interactive, creative, and engaging, often including song practice, improvisation, and performance preparation.
I help students overcome challenges, build confidence, develop consistent practice routines, and cultivate a lifelong love for music. My aim is to create a positive and inspiring environment where students feel motivated to reach their full potential and enjoy every step of their musical journey.

My teaching methodology is expressive, adaptive, and student-focused. I believe piano lessons should develop technical skills, musicality, and artistic expression while keeping students motivated and engaged. Through clear communication, I learn about each student’s goals, challenges, and preferred learning style, which allows me to design lessons that are personalised, effective, and inspiring.
Creativity is central to my approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and experiment with various musical styles, helping them develop originality, confidence, and self-expression. Flexibility ensures lessons are tailored to the student’s pace, skill level, and learning preferences, fostering a positive and productive environment.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This methodology strengthens technical mastery, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My goal is to nurture confident, creative, and lifelong musicians.
