About Everett
I am a dedicated Spanish tutor with 15+ years of teaching experience, helping High School and College students improve their language skills through personalised and engaging lessons. During my teaching journey, I have successfully taught around 150 students, each with different learning styles and academic goals. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and clear communication in every lesson.
My teaching philosophy is based on helping students understand the language instead of simply memorising it. I believe that learning Spanish should be enjoyable, practical, and connected to everyday life. My lessons include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities that allow students to build confidence step by step. I encourage active participation by using conversations, role-playing, quizzes, and interactive exercises that make learning interesting and meaningful.
I also believe that regular practice and constructive feedback are essential for improvement. Every lesson includes revision and opportunities for students to apply what they have learned. Along with language instruction, I introduce students to Spanish culture, traditions, and common expressions to make the learning experience more complete.
One of my proudest achievements has been helping around 150 students improve their academic performance and communication skills. Many learners have gained confidence, achieved higher grades, and developed a genuine interest in Spanish. Their progress continues to motivate me to become an even better educator.
My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students enjoy learning, stay motivated, and develop strong Spanish language skills that will benefit them throughout their education and future careers.

My Spanish teaching methodology focuses on lessons that are student-centred, practical, and engaging. Accountability encourages learners to set goals, monitor progress, and take responsibility for their learning journey. Integrity ensures lessons are honest, fair, and adapted to each student’s abilities and learning style.
I use Flexibility, adjusting lesson plans, exercises, and strategies for different learning styles, proficiency levels, and personal interests. Communication is key; I foster conversation, discussion, and interactive exercises to help students internalise vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and comprehension. A Positive learning environment motivates learners, celebrates milestones, and nurtures curiosity.
I also integrate related subjects such as literature, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural studies to enrich understanding and provide practical context. My goal is to help students develop fluency, confidence, and motivation in Spanish.
