About Lon

I'm DJ Lon Lee, and I’ve spent over 30 years mastering the decks. From the classic feel of vinyl and turntables to the modern edge of digital DJing (Serato, Rekordbox and etc.), CDJs, and controllers. I live for this craft, and in a crowded industry, my goal is to deliver a level of expertise and passion that truly sets you apart. In these times, Everyone is a DJ. I will teach you to be above the rest. You will learn to have the cleanest mixing skills. I specialize teaching students how to mix Hip-Hop, RnB, Latin, Pop, House, EDM and whatever YOU want to play. My lessons are un-rushed and catered to your musical taste.

About the lesson

Are you trying to learn how to mix songs together? Are you trying to rock parties? Are you trying to make cool remixes for social media? I can help you out!

We’ll kick things off with the essentials and steadily scale up at a speed that works for you. My goal is to help you master the art of the mix and reach your full potential. Let’s have a blast honing a craft that opens doors and puts you miles ahead of the competition.

My lessons consist of:
Learning the structure of a song.
How to beat match.
How to use the faders.
Understand cue points.
How to curate songs and develop your own style.
If you don't have equipment or need to upgrade, I can help you get it at a discounted rate. I might even give you music so you can start DJing parties.

Note: At this time, I am only accepting private tutoring at the student's place. Lessons are 2 hour sessions minimum. The 30 minute free lesson is deducted from the first session. I can help you with understanding how to use your DJ controller. I can also bring my controller. I only offer services that are a fit for both parties. Please that my $40 an hour will be going up soon, so take advantage of this special rate now.

This first lesson offered with Lon will allow you to get to know each other and clearly specify your needs for your next lessons.

If you don't own DJ equipment, that's fine. I will get you started! I can even get you discounted equipment and music from my own library!

Travel fees are added to locations that are 20 miles away (or routes that are 30 minutes) from Long Beach.
