About Dr Andrea
I have been teaching Ethics, Creative Writing, Writing Fundamentals and Philosophy for seven years at a variety of colleges in Vermont in the United States. By now my best guess after twelve years would one thousand. My students favorite class has always been Ethics because of the way I teach it. My course requires students to really examine what they believe and how and where their beliefs come from and how that influences their ability to make sound moral and ethical decisions that bring meaning to their lives, personal and professional. My students report making better decisions and the focus on meaning-making helps as well. My writing students report significant improvement in their writing skills and abilities.

I am an unabashed enthusiast in the journey of becoming wise, in teaching and learning, engaging students to further expand the human experience and the foundation of knowledge. I enjoy the contemplation of ideas. My greatest challenge, as an educator, is creating an environment in which each student’s story can be heard, respected and valued within a space where students feel self-expression is safe while encouraging challenges for each and every student. I strive in designing and delivering contemporary courses to students designed to help them achieve professional and personal goals.
