About Yas
I did two years of an undergraduate degree in Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia (4.0 GPA) when I was admitted to the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. I am currently finishing my second year will be graduating in 2025.
My first exposure to tutoring was doing Math Buddies in the 9th grade where I mentored younger students in algebra. I then began a summer job working at Kumon, where I provided English and Math tutoring to preschool and elementary school children. I have had my own private tutoring business since graduating high school in 2019.

My teaching style is highly catered to the student and their goals ~ whether it is improving their grade, advancing ahead in material, or practicing for final exams and assignment. I don’t like fixating one teaching style to everybody. I myself am an individual with ADD who was not always the best student but I succesfully discovered the tricks necessary for mastering school without anxiety or stress. I am particularly skilled at providing visual and interactive learning, or being a school mentor for our neurodivergent students. Overall, our tutoring sessions will be focused on developing your independent thinking but with collaboration and support from me as you deem necessary.
