About Himanshu

Himanshu Gandhi is a 23-year-old tutor and healthcare professional-in-training who grew up in an immigrant household and worked his way up through persistence and a genuine love of learning. His curiosity about the unknown—and a desire to put something new into the world—led him from lab work in gut microbiology to pursuing a PharmD and an MBA, with a clear goal in mind: to help bring new, life-saving drugs to world markets and be part of the systems that protect patients’ lives.

He feels at home in Omaha because the community’s sense of care and well-being matches his own values. Empathy and responsibility are central to how he moves through the world; Along the way, he’s already done more than many expect at his place in life—presenting at national English conferences, speaking to Nebraska lawmakers about his microbiology research, working in a critical care hospital, and building a private tutoring practice. When he’s not studying or working, you’ll probably find him cooking something new, lifting, making music once in a while, or relaxing with his dog and a movie he’s already seen before.

At his core, he tries to live by one simple idea: be the change you want to see in the world.

About the lesson

Himanshu Gandhi is a dedicated private tutor with nearly a decade of experience helping students of all ages succeed academically and feel confident in the classroom. With an honors degree in Microbiology and minors in Mathematics, English, and Biochemistry, plus current training as a PharmD and MBA student, he brings extensive, real-world life science knowledge to every session. He has worked with diverse learners, including students with IEPs, and is skilled at adjusting his teaching style so each student feels supported and understood.

In every session, Himanshu focuses not just on learning the concepts, but on understanding how they apply in real life—whether that’s in health, technology, or everyday decision-making—so studying feels relevant and meaningful rather than like memorizing facts. His goal is for students to walk away not only with better grades and stronger skills, but also with genuine curiosity and confidence in their ability to think critically and solve problems.
