About David
I studied Chemical Bacteriologist Parasitologist at the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (UANL), México. Then I obtained my PhD in science, and Mayor in biotechnology with honors magna cumme laude. Halfway through my doctorate, my thesis director and coordinator of the biotechnology institute hired me to work as a research assistant, due to my qualities and skills, in addition to the results and advances I had done in my Ph.D. research work. He made me responsible for several áreas of the biotechnology institute, including management of the insectary, breeding of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, and responsible for the fermentation plant for elaborating biopesticide formulations. During that time I also was a professor for the Microbiology Graduate Course Program. One year after obtaining my degree, I had already published 4 book chapters, 2 scientific articles,2 certificates of excellence in reviewing, taught classes and participated in national fórums.
I also worked at the Universidad del Valle de México (UVM), Laureate International Universities, teaching Sustainable development in a bilingual program to high school students Sustainable development, (2019)
Furthermore, I have been working as an online professor at the Online Latin American Technological University (UTEL) teaching soil treatment and recovery to postgraduate students in Masters of Engineering and Environmental (2022 to present)

Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
Drawing on my extensive experience as a Doctor of Science in Biotechnology, I bring a practical and research-oriented approach to teaching. I emphasize hands-on learning, encouraging students to actively engage in laboratory work, experimental design, and data analysis. I incorporate case studies, real-world examples, and cutting-edge research findings to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. I also foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills by challenging students to tackle complex scientific problems independently or in groups.
Typical Lesson Plan:
In my typical lesson plans, I begin by introducing the fundamental concepts of biotechnology, emphasizing their relevance and applications in various industries. I provide comprehensive explanations and visual aids to enhance understanding. Following the theory, I include laboratory sessions where students gain practical experience in techniques such as microbiological assays, genetic engineering, PCR, and protein analysis. These hands-on activities reinforce theoretical knowledge and develop essential laboratory skills.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:
As a tutor, my strong background in biotechnology research sets me apart. I can bridge the gap between theory and practical application, providing unique insights into the field. My ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a clear and accessible manner allows me to connect with students effectively.
Target Audience for Lessons:
My lessons are tailored to undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in biotechnology or related fields. Whether it's students seeking assistance in coursework, research projects, or preparation for exams, I provide specialized instruction to meet their specific needs.
