About Otis
My name is Otis, and I am a PhD candidate in the field of mechanical engineering. I have loved maths from a young age, particularly problem solving, which I have taken forward into engineering to solve real world problems. My passion for engineering has inspired me to teach others, and my teaching is always changing depending on my audience. I am a friendly, patient, and a perceptive person; I can recognise when students are struggling and will adapt my learning style to suit them.

I have experience with teaching groups of students and 1-to-1s. Everyone learns differently and I ensure I adapt my pace and abilities to support and maximise individual student learning. I have good knowledge of A level maths and Thermodynamics from my previous courses and have taught engineering related maths and GCSE maths to engineering students. I am happy to teach mathematics to any age and level. For A level, I may need time to view the content beforehand. Lesson time is flexible, and online is preferred.
