About Lavanya
Dr. Lavanya Sethuraman is a passionate educator and researcher with a Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics and over five years of teaching and mentoring experience across India, Australia, and Canada. She has taught Fluid Mechanics, Numerical Computing, and Advanced Thermodynamics at the undergraduate and graduate levels and has mentored Ph.D. students in computational simulations, optimization, and research methodologies. Dr. Lavanya adapts her teaching approach based on the student’s level—using interactive visuals and screen sharing for high school students, real-world applications for undergraduates, and advanced simulations for Ph.D. scholars and professionals. She has a strong ability to simplify complex concepts, making learning engaging, practical, and results-driven. With experience in both academia and industry, she brings a holistic teaching approach, ensuring students not only understand theoretical concepts but also develop problem-solving skills for real-world applications.
