About John
Before teaching I worked for nearly 20 years playing a leading role in progressing new drugs through clinical trials and have seen how Chemistry is essential in this process.
In other words I have seen the theories and concepts presented in text books being utilized in the real world and how Chemistry can help improve the quality of our lives.
Now I feel I am in a privileged position where I can pass on at least some of my experience and knowledge.
I find it rewarding to see students succeed in Chemistry to pursue various important careers from medical doctors to molecular biologists, dentists to biochemists and of course as Chemists.

I have found that some students may lack confidence in getting a sufficient grade in Chemistry for entry into the subject and university of their choice. They can feel anxious about answering questions on topics in exams.
My approach to helping you is when you hit a wall with a concept/ problem we should break down the various parts and go back step by step, layer by layer until we find the part in your knowledge and understanding that is weak and remedy it.
Therefore when I teach a topic emphasis is put on previous knowledge and understanding to obtain a sound understanding before progressing to the next topic.
The typical length of a lesson would be approximately one hour on Zoom, Skype or Superprof platforms.
