About Amy
Are you looking for a patient teacher who understands the frustration of learning barre chords or blues progressions? Having taught 433 students over 13 years, I focus on building a solid foundation for hobbyists and returning learners alike. My BFA Music Performance degree from East Tennessee State University helps me simplify complex theory into usable fingerpicking patterns.
I keep things simple. Teaching is my craft. Adults and grade exam candidates often appreciate this direct approach. You will find that my style is unhurried and session-fluent.

Feeling like you have hit a wall with your strumming patterns or tuning is normal, but we can usually resolve those technical gaps quite quickly. I integrate a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high so that you always know exactly what to work on during the week. Reading tabs becomes a secondary skill once we start applying music theory directly to your favorite blues progressions or power chords.
My lessons are designed for adults and hobbyists who need a clear map for their musical growth. Returning learners often find this systematic way of working quite refreshing for their progress. It is genuinely rewarding to see a student find joy in their daily practice.
