Supportive and energetic guidance defines the way I approach keyboard instruction for adults, returning learners, and teens. Music is rarely as difficult as it seems. Having taught 81 students over 11 years, I have refined my ability to explain complex concepts like chord voicing and sight playing.
My background as a graduate of the University of Michigan ensures that you receive classical repertoire and theory training grounded in real academic rigor. I emphasize memorization techniques and precise pedaling to give you complete command over the instrument. We spend time on posture and hand shape to prevent fatigue while you practice. Each session moves at your pace to ensure you feel comfortable with the material. You will walk away with a clearer understanding of how to make the piano sound like you.
