About Denise
"Decades of rhythmic study define my approach to the keys. I possess a BMus degree and a firm grasp of pedagogical structure. After 8 years of performing in NYC, I transitioned into a role where I help teens and advanced learners conquer complex pieces. My background includes 11 years of playing and performing that I synthesize for my students.
I work with grade exam candidates to ensure they are prepared for every technical requirement. Hand independence and sight transposition are skills I teach with great care. My personal narrative centers on teaching what actually works when you are under pressure.

"Piano keys feel like extensions of your fingers once you grasp the underlying physics of the movement. I start by observing your touch to identify any tension before we move into scales or arpeggios. A diagnostic playing assessment helps us pinpoint exactly where your current plan needs refinement.
My lessons incorporate ear training and rhythm work to create well-rounded musicians. We spend time on pedaling technique to add color and depth to your favorite pieces. Because I hold a BMus degree, I understand how to balance strict grade exam requirements with musicality.
Teens find the environment structured yet open to their personal creative input. Advanced learners appreciate the focus on efficiency that my 11 years of experience provides. It is quite enjoyable to watch a student finally master a difficult passage."
