About Frida
Teaching violin remains central to my life because I enjoy the process of sharing 13 years of technical knowledge with others. My violin work started at age 6, eventually leading me toward a BMus degree from the Rice University Shepherd School. Today, I perform regularly in a leading American chamber ensemble while instructing absolute beginners, kids, adults, and hobbyists.
It is interesting how many students come to me wanting to understand the nuances of classical repertoire or posture. I find that building a strong foundation is the best way to handle complex pieces. My background in performing helps me explain these concepts clearly and methodically. Do you feel ready to explore the violin with a patient instructor who understands the rigors of formal training?

Pacing remains steady during our time together, ensuring that you receive consistent feedback on your progress. Technical work like intonation, rhythm, and timing forms the core of our study. I prepare custom scale and etude sheets for each student to address specific challenges in their playing.
My BMus from Rice University informs the methodical structure we apply to every session. You will learn to refine your bow hold, ear training, and arpeggios through focused practice. I monitor your posture closely to prevent strain and maximize your musical expression.
These materials ensure that your individual needs are met during every practice session. Developing these core skills requires patience and a clear, logical path forward.
