About Walter
Self-taught players and intermediate learners often reach a plateau where they need actual structural guidance. Music is my life.
I earned my Bachelor of Music in Popular Music at the University of Southern California to formalize my craft. Performing throughout Austin keeps my skills sharp and gig-tested for real audiences. I have spent 12 years helping students bridge the gap between their bedroom and the local venue. Beginners frequently tell me they want to play specific songs or produce a debut EP.
My teaching approach relies on the academic foundation I gained at university. I treat guitar as a language that requires practice and patience. You can reach out if you want to chat about your playing goals.

Getting your songs ready for a recording session starts with fixing your technique. You might be struggling with strumming patterns or complex blues progressions, so we work backward from the sound you want to achieve. We refine your electric technique and acoustic technique until the tone fits your vision. Music theory provides the map for your improvisation and soloing during these sessions.
My USC degree ensures we maintain high standards while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and productive. Kids and adults alike find that progress happens when they stop overthinking the fretboard. We focus on the practical application of your favorite tracks. It really is that straightforward.
