About Miko
Hi, I’m Miko! A lifelong artist who’s been drawing since I could hold a pencil. My work leans towards realism, but I also explore abstraction and expressive forms, and enjoy exploring different mediums. I’ve taught friends before and have seen firsthand how even a few short lessons can unlock something powerful: not just skill, but confidence, curiosity, and joy. I want to teach because I believe creativity is increasingly endangered. In a world where AI can generate images in seconds, it’s easy to forget the magic of making something with your own hands. I’m not here to compete with machines, I’m here to help people reconnect with their own creative instincts, to feel the graphite move across paper, to see their ideas take shape, and to know that what they’ve made is truly theirs. Art isn’t just a skill; it’s a way of seeing, feeling, and reclaiming your voice, it puts you in touch with your feelings and can be a way to cope, to have fun, to relax, and to grow. My lessons are about more than technique; they’re about building a creative life that’s resilient, expressive, and deeply human - something AI can never copy.

I offer art lessons that create a welcoming space for growth, blending technical skill with creative exploration. My foundation is in realism, but I also embrace abstract art, helping each student find their own expressive voice and style. Every session is tailored to their pace and interests, fostering confidence, curiosity, and a deep love for visual storytelling. Whether I'm guiding beginners through the basics or supporting more advanced artists in refining their style, I teach with warmth, clarity, and genuine passion. Lessons often include gentle critiques, playful exercises, and mythic prompts to unlock personal expression and joy in the process. My motto is that there are no bad artists, and anyone can learn!
