About Richard
I have developed my method of teaching driving over many years. I make the student feel comfortable and confident. I do this through practice and repetition of the driving task. I stress good seeing habits and proveable techniques. An example would be hand-over-hand steering. I teach the fundamentals thoroughly so the student gets good results. The student will develop good habits. He will understand what to do, how, and why. His confidence will grow.

I believe in my method of teaching driving. The brain does the driving. It is, primarily, a mental task. The driver must give the proper picture to the brain at the right time. Focus: how, where, and when; gives the picture to the brain. Then, the brain plans and implements the course of action. So, successful driving is, primarily, determined by the proper use of one's central vision and thinking. Repetition of the driving task helps one to develop good habits and decision- making.
