About Jack
Hi, I'm Jack and I started Seattle Drum Studio after I started teaching so I could pursue music as a career full time. I'm excited that I get to provide a fun and engaging environment for students of all ages and playing abilities.
When I'm not teaching, I can be found playing with Filthy Traitors, Without A Doubt, or the 204th Army Band. I also love to travel with my wife and family, as well as spend time at home playing video games.

Lesson plans for each student are custom made. These are based on the individual goals of each student, as well as the encouragement of the instructor. We teach many different styles of music: Rock, Funk, Pop, R&B, Hip hop, Hand/Foot Technique, Marching, Auxiliary Percussion, as well as basic Jazz and Latin studies.
Students of all playing levels are accepted. Whether you are a complete beginner, or a seasoned pro looking for something new, we can guide you in the right direction to help you reach your personal goals in music.
We accept students of any age, both young in life and young at heart. Our youngest students are 4 years old, and we teach many adults in their 50's, 60's and beyond.

I took lessons with Jack in the past at Seattle Drum Studio off and on for a few years. He is one of my favorite music teachers that I have worked with (and there have been many). Lots of fun, and I always learned a lot! Also fun to go see him play live.
Had a great time for my first lesson here, and I'm looking forward to coming back. It's my first time playing drums as an adult, and Jack was very patient with me.
