About Stefano
Hi everyone, I am a professional drummer, session (live and recording) and teacher with 15 years of experience in the music business. I am a qualified musician with Edexcel Higher National Diploma level 5 and I studied with different teachers such as Alfredo Golino (Cambiomusica Academy, Brescia, Italy for two years), Sergio Bellotti (Ponte U.S.A. private drum courses in 2010 and 2012 at Berklee College of Music, Boston, U.S.A.) and Gianluca Capitani (Lizard Music Academy for three years, Grosseto, Italy). I am currently writing for Drum Club Magazine and endorsing the world-famous Vic Firth. I am offering private lessons to beginner, intermediate and advanced drummers (any ages are welcome - DBS provided) in rock, pop, blues, funk, reggae, jazz, soul, hip hop and Latin music. During my lessons I will talk about: Snare drum techniques Four-way coordination Practice and study with and without metronome Set up instrument, posture, balance etc... How to read and write music, drum parts, chart etc… How to learn and play rock, pop, blues, funk etc... How to play different tempo and different styles, 4/4, 12/8, 7/4, 5/8 etc… How to play and record either Minus Drum or Songs. Using some different greatest drum books. Lessons will be taken at either my private drum studio in Bermondsey (which is 4 minutes walk from the station) or I can arrange home visits adding travel costs. Stefano is clearly experienced and plays the drums (as well as cajon) with confidence. Besides that he is a polite and very nice guy who knows how to prepare himself well. I've played with him in many different outfits and every time I've seen a different side of his versatile musicality. He's the drummer that never disappoints and always knows the songs. Big thumbs up!
Stefano is not only a great drummer, he is also a good teacher and a very nice guy. It is very important not just respect someones skills but also like him or her personally. It is very easy to study under him as he is very positive, kind, and supportive.
