About Caroline

I have been teaching in a variety of settings for the past 20 years.

I have worked with at least 100 students over the past 20 years. I have worked with students at a variety of levels. Some of students have gone on to become professional musicians or earned scholarships at colleges around the United States. I have also worked with students that have a variety of disabilities at camps such as the Boys and Girls Club, Camp Willoway, Burn Camp, Jewish Community Center, Easter Seals, Kind Care, New Berlin Recreation Center, and a variety of camps too numerous to mention. Private lessons have been taught at Cascio Music in New Berlin and taught out of my private residence in Oak Creek Wisconsin and now Hustisford Wisconsin.

I am an educator and professional musician drumset/ percussionist/ piano that has played and taught a variety of styles. Some of the styles covered are rock, country, jazz, a variety of latin rhythm's, reggae, ska, calypso, afro cuban to name a few. With my students I also work on music theory, reading both melodic and rhythm notation, dictation of music, technique, dexterity exercises, rudiments coordination and exercises between the limbs. We will also cover playing in the pocket, playing fills in the appropriate places, structure of music and improvisation. I also teach both melodic percussion including bells, marimba, tympani and a variety of hand drums.

I have worked with a wide range of age groups and different ability levels. My goal as a teacher is to be concise in what I teach and have my lessons appeal to my students.
