About Tom
My name is Tom Walsh and I graduated from St. John's University in 2017 with a major in TV and film and a minor in history and have been working in the educational field ever since. During the pandemic, I spent time teaching before going back into the creative fields. I love learning about history, both the background of the medium I'm in and the country that I call home. The joy of learning should never finish and I hope to impress that love of learning upon all my students.

I care more about teaching you how to THINK like a historian rather than just having you memorize names and dates. My lessons start in a place of inquiry with open-ended questions, and our learning journey will focus on analyzing sources to find the truth. We will begin with a specific time or area that you're struggling with and I will ask leading questions rather than just recite a lecture.
