About Laurel
Hello, I'm Laurel! I'm 29 years old, a Senior in college, and I believe that I make a strong student and tutor because I am someone who waited to commit to college until I was truly confident in what I wanted to learn. With that said, I am extremely passionate about my studies; Psychology has interested me since I was young, and Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies interested me through my own life experiences.
I genuinely love what I study and I see myself as a natural teacher. I am always talking to my friends about my studies, teaching them what I have learned and relating my course content to my real life. I believe a good teacher or tutor is someone who can help engage you in the content you're learning, and make topics you're learning relatable and interesting-something I believe my personality makes easy :)

What sets me apart from other tutors is that my goal is to create a plan to study in a way that works best for you! We all have different ways we approach our work and I think it's really important to embrace what works for us when it comes to getting our schoolwork done rather than stressing about how we think things should be done. Let's figure out what works best for you and we can create a plan from there!
-My lessons are best suited for psych majors in 100-200 level courses & GWS Majors who need help writing papers or dissecting queer/feminist theory or readings.
I also have extensive experience writing critical analysis papers, and research papers. My goal is to make writing and remembering content easier for you!
