About Joshua
I am a PhD studentat Duke University studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. My undergraduate degree was in chemical engineering at University of Minnesota. I have tutored close to dozen students in math and science, and have enjoyed tutoring all of them!

Lessons are focused on teaching students how to think/approach the subject. Rather than speeding through how to do five problems, time is spent thoroughly analyzing a robust approach to a single sample problem.
The nature of most scientific subjects are that the most valuable skill learned is a particular problem-solving approach. My lessons emphasize understanding that approach.
