About Wayne
My students' welfare is always my first priority. The teaching and learning process is a mutual enterprise. Both teacher and student have responsibilities to have success.
I have a PhD on Cell Biology/ Anatomy from Duke, over 35 years teaching experience at different levels. I have mentored students in their successful applications to professional schools (medical, dental, and veterinary) as well as to graduate schools in Biology.

I have tutored high school students through college seniors, and even a few medical students. My approach depends on the needs of my student. I always put students first, and focus on providing the service the need. I do challenge students with a socratic approach when one-on-one. I use technology and occasionally animations to teach. Animations these days are very sophisticated, accurate, engaging, and provide solid concepts in engaging ways. I also just use a white board or pen and paper as teaching/learning tools. Basically, I adapt my approach to the needs and levels of the student.
