I am a first-year undergraduate student at Duke University studying biology with a minor in chemistry and neuroscience. I strongly believe that the proper foundation is crucial to achieving academic success. Patience, ability to effectively convey ideas and explain new concepts, and my passion for teaching are some of the key qualities that I possess. I also have extensive tutoring experience with high school students in mathematics (algebra, geometry, statistics) and reading comprehension. Additionally, during my junior and senior year of high school I was an SAT and ACT tutor at a college preparatory center called College Experts.

I was an SAT and ACT tutor at a college preparatory center during my last two years of high school and have taught many students helpful test-taking strategies that have improved their critical thinking skills and understanding of math concepts.
Additionally, I am a current tutor for the America Reads and America Counts (ARAC) program at Duke University. I began tutoring at the beginning of my freshman year and will be continuing to teach literacy and mathematics to elementary and middle school children.
