About Nathanael
Every person is unique, and all the great teachers, from Auer and Flesch to Galamian and Gingold, believed in a personally tailored approach for each individual student. We will work closely together to ensure that the physical approach to the instrument is as ergonomic and healthy as possible, and every step on our musical journey will be taken with the best interest and growth of the student, musically, intellectually, and professionally as the first thought, and the love of music and a spirit of discovery and fun as the second.

My pedagogical approach is rooted in real-world orchestral experience and the traditions of some of the most successful violin teachers of all time, Ivan Galamian and Dorothy DeLay, with whom my teachers studied. With a special focus on technical fundamentals, carefully chosen repertoire, and a theoretical understanding of the approach as well as the music, any student, from grade school to precollege will be well prepared for whatever their future may hold, whether they wish to make a career in music or just play as a hobby.
