About Yikaalo
I love teaching. There's nothing better than seeing that moment when a student finally gets it – that lightbulb moment when everything clicks. It makes me happy, and it's why I keep doing this. I'm a Durham Finance graduate with A-level Maths and Further Maths, and I currently teach GCSE Further Maths. I've worked with children aged 4–14, including SEN students, and I bring patience, encouragement, and a genuine passion for helping others learn.

I take a patient and encouraging approach, tailoring each lesson to the student's needs. I regularly check for understanding throughout, use live marking to provide instant feedback, and model how to answer questions step by step. Lessons typically last one hour. I hold a BSc Finance from Durham University, A-level Maths (A) and Further Maths (A), and currently teach GCSE Further Maths. I've also tutored children aged 4–14 at Explore Learning, including SEN students.
