About Eva
I am a History student at Durham University, having achieved 45/45 in the International Baccalaureate, including a 7 in History Higher Level, and grade 9s in all 11 of my GCSEs. History has long been one of my greatest academic interests, and I particularly enjoy exploring different historical interpretations, evaluating evidence and constructing well-supported arguments.
Throughout school, I was actively involved in academic societies, including chairing the History Society, and developed strong research, analytical and essay-writing skills. I understand the demands of examinations and the importance of combining detailed subject knowledge with effective exam technique.
I am friendly, approachable and enthusiastic about helping others succeed. I aim to make lessons enjoyable and supportive, adapting my approach to each student's needs and helping them develop both their confidence and their passion for History.

My approach to History tutoring is engaging, structured and tailored to each student's individual needs. Having achieved 45/45 in the International Baccalaureate, including a 7 in History Higher Level, I can help students develop their historical knowledge, analytical thinking and essay-writing skills.
Lessons focus on understanding key events and interpretations, evaluating historical evidence, constructing persuasive arguments and developing clear, well-structured essays. For exam students, I can also help with source analysis, essay planning, revision techniques and exam preparation. I encourage students to think critically about the past rather than simply memorising facts.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, but can be adapted to suit individual needs. I can support GCSE and A-level students, as well as younger learners looking to strengthen their historical understanding.
