About Jessica
I am Jess, a 2nd-year university student studying biology. I have extensive experience in tutoring, and I love to watch my pupils not only improve in terms of their marks and academic achievements but also see their confidence grow whilst learning how to enjoy studying their subjects. Whilst at school, only a couple of years ago, I found exams stressful and found it challenging to ask teachers for help at school when I found work difficult. What I love about tutoring is that it allows a safe environment for pupils to ask questions and explore topics, focusing on what they need to improve on as an individual.

I like to frame each session around a specific topic and aims. I use activities in a variety of formats to help my students better understand and, more importantly, engage with topics in a more efficient way. I am approachable and friendly and encourage my students to ask questions or let me know when they are struggling with something.
I use interactive activities I make myself like games and flashcards to help learn the content as well as more detailed questions based on the exam to work on exam technique and also to familiarise students with the exam format.
I have had over 100 hours of online tutoring experience, teaching 14-18-year-olds studying for GCSEs and A-levels either 1-on-1 or group lessons.
