About Dixie
I teach because helping others capture their sound is the most rewarding part of my day. Music started for me as a creative spark, and now I use my BA from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to guide others through the fretboard.
We focus on getting those chord transitions smooth and your technique solid so you can actually enjoy playing. My own path involves 8 years of making music and teaching others to do the same.
I work with students who want to master everything from electric technique to acoustic precision. We will dig into scales, modes, and ear training until reading tabs feels like second nature. You will eventually see yourself playing the songs you love with total control.

The smell of fresh guitar strings always signals that it is time to get to work. My lessons are designed to be light and positive because learning should never feel like a chore. I bring my background from the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music to help you navigate grade exam prep or simple improvisation. Having taught 319 students over 8 years, I know how to keep things moving.
We will balance maintenance and tuning with the excitement of soloing. You are going to sound great.
