About Fiona
I am a qualified teacher with over 8 years experience. I currently own and teach Pilates. I am passionate about education and sharing information. I believe that a wholistic approach to life is essential. Being a Pilates instructor has enabled me to continue with teaching whilst focusing on strengthening the body. This further supports my ethos that learning should be active and thus I bring enthusiasm & involvement in both my studio and classroom

I am a firm believer in learner based lessons. If learners are actively involved in their lessons they tend to retain the information better and longer. For me, creativity and adaptation in curriculum are key factors in success. I am an ongoing learner myself, and whilst I hold many qualifications in education, I feel that human beings are constantly evolving and growing and thus it is essential for teachers to attend ongoing training to better their skills. I am a qualified skills studies tutor which gives me an advantage in assisting learners in acquiring information and knowledge whist absorbing it & making it their own.
