About Marlo
Disciplined rigor defines my approach to linguistic instruction. 13 years of teaching reveals that fluency is a mechanical pursuit rather than a soft art.
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Eastman School of Music, which trained my ear for the nuance of human sound. My expertise covers pronunciation, idioms and expressions, and interview preparation.

Language acquisition improves fastest when we ignore natural intuition and start with rigid grammatical structures. I assess your current level through a diagnostic test before we build the plan to ensure total accuracy. Having spent 13 years developing my own ear, I apply the same disciplined ear training to your spoken Spanish. My Bachelor of Music from Eastman gives me a unique perspective on the mechanical production of vowels and consonants.
We focus on specific skills like advanced syntax and complex idiomatic shifts to reach native levels. I prefer working with learners who want a serious, data driven path to fluency. You will find that mastering the mechanics of a language is genuinely satisfying.
