About Cora
I’m a vocal tutor with over 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions). My work focuses on the artistry of vocal harmony—how voices blend, interact, and build powerful musical textures.
One of my favorite things is helping singers create layered harmonies and intricate arrangements. From small A Cappella groups to multi-tracked studio recordings, I guide students through the process of crafting rich vocal soundscapes.
My lessons cover styles such as Pop, Gospel, R&B, and contemporary A Cappella. We work on blending voices, writing counter-melodies, and developing arranging techniques that bring songs to life.
Creativity is central to my teaching. I encourage improvisation, songwriting, and experimentation so students feel confident expressing themselves musically.
Drawing from my background in music history and ethnomusicology, I also share the cultural stories behind vocal traditions. Students gain both technical skill and deeper musical understanding.
I work with school students, college musicians, and aspiring professionals. If you’re ready to dive into the world of vocal harmony, I’d love to help you begin your musical journey.

My teaching philosophy centers on building a voice that is both expressive and sustainable. I want singers to develop strong technique while learning how to care for their instrument.
We start with the basics: breath support, tone clarity, vocal control, and range development. I also teach harmony singing and arranging techniques for styles such as A Cappella, Pop, Gospel, and R&B.
Many singers perform often, especially in group and worship settings. Because of this, I focus on developing vocal stamina so the voice can handle frequent singing.
Students learn how to manage vocal fatigue through efficient technique and smart rehearsal habits. This helps prevent strain and injury.
Pre-performance preparation is another key skill. Warm-ups help the voice become flexible and ready to perform.
After performances, recovery techniques help the voice return to a relaxed and healthy state.
We also discuss hydration, vocal rest, and daily habits that support vocal health.
My goal is to help singers grow confidently while protecting their voice for years of music-making.
