About Roman
I’m a 19-year-old engineering major at Santa Monica College looking to transfer to a 4-year for aerospace engineering. I’m looking to tutor in mathematics ranging from basic math to pre-calculus. I have experience in college-level math courses and have been very successful in all math courses I’ve taken in my academic career. I’m looking to build a connection with students and work my hardest to improve their confidence in math. I want students to feel comfortable in their abilities and am intending to listen to whatever they might have issues with. I want to move at the student’s pace and help them with concepts that they are currently learning or things they are not completely confident in. I really want to build experience in teaching and expand on my own knowledge of mathematics. I want to learn alongside my potential tutor students so that we achieve a very thorough understanding of the content.

I have taken several college level math courses and have been in STEM subjects my whole academic life. I am looking to teach any math course ranging from basic math to pre-calculus. I am looking to tutor K-12 math. My teaching style and methods would involve listening to students and evaluating their potential struggles in a given subject. I would like to look at potential assignments and touch on key concepts. I would try to align my lessons to what they are currently learning with the intention of solidifying their success. My goal would be to perfect student’s grasp on whatever level math they are taking and most of all to elevate their mathematical confidence, ensuring their future success.
