About Alison

We are a group of passionate teachers who enjoy supporting, guiding and inspiring each student to grow in confidence as they learn. We support all students from various educational levels including those who have current NDIS funding on a self-funded contract. We all have extensive experience working with students with various learning struggles and difficulties including those with ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Cognitive delays, hearing concerns, Autism and other learning and mental delays. We support all students by providing lessons based on their learning styles, needs and abilities. Our founder Alison was diagnosed with ADD at 11 years old. She understands the difficulty of retaining information along with the constant self-esteem issues.

About the lesson

Online, ESL lessons available via Skype in your home. Hours available Monday to Friday 8 am to 7 pm. Currently have free lessons on Wednesday and Monday from 3 pm to 8 pm. Lessons are available in one or two-hour sessions with the option of one-hour or two-hour consecutive or two lessons across the week. All lessons are individually created using the Australian 9.0 curriculum with beginner, intermediate and advanced learner options. Lessons are available for Pre-prep, primary, secondary, university and adult learners. All lessons are fun, engaging and educational with a wide range of different curriculum-aligned worksheets, games, puzzles and games. All lessons start five minutes before to ensure that students have time to log on. The first two lessons are available as a paid trial with worksheets sent to the student for printing before the lesson. Homework is also provided to ensure students have the knowledge and confidence to complete on their own. After the trial period, a 10-week equivalent to a term is charged in advance. We also offer a free assessment for all new students worth $60.00 who sign up for the plan. We do have a conditions contract which needs to be signed by students over 18 years of age or the adult who is paying for the English support. All teachers are fully qualified with a Bachelor of Education from an Australian university. Each has seven years or more of experience in teaching and tutoring. Lessons are available online or face-to-face for students on the Northside of Brisbane in the suburbs of Northlakes, Griffin or Mango Hill. Lessons for younger students are also available at Northlakes Library during library hours. Additional lessons - Beginners English - everyday English including Australian terms and slang. Money and finances - Australian currency, shopping and banking terms. Homework help - help to support ESL parents with their students or their own assessments and homework. Conversational Australian English Written English Offered in forty, one-hour lesson blocks.

Details

$60.00 per hour paid monthly in advance with business invoice. Additional lessons paid in four terms 40-week block. All new families who book in a trial of minimum two-hour lesson will receive a free 30-minute lesson. After the trial, a printing fee will be added of $40.00 plus a yearly administration fee to cover access to educational websites used for printing.
