About Ayana
I am graduating early from the University of Minnesota with a Computer Science B.S. Degree. I have served as the corporate outreach officer for the Association of Computing Machinery - Women (UMN Twin Cities Division), as an undergraduate researcher at the UMN Virtual Reality Lab, and as the Engagement and Outreach Board at Project Success.
I am a 3 time returnee to IBM, and will continue full-time employment with them in August 2023. I led the National Feedback Team this summer (overseeing a collective 145+ people), and led the SF Office's engagement and volunteer team. I have scored "outstanding" (highest level achievable) from all of my managers every summer. The materials that I have created during my internship have also been reused and repurposed to present to top level government clients.

I use a flexible approach with students and create a comprehensive learning plan based on students' needs. Most students enjoy and prefer a calendar in which they have a target goal every week they need to reach. Depending on age level and skill level, I work with parents to get input on what area they would like their child to improve on.
I have improved students' math and reading scores (generally see an improvement of at least 5%). I have also worked with students for music lessons (cello and piano) and have helped to improve sight reading skills.
Open to tutoring any age. Most experienced with middle school - college level students.
