About Ryan
I specialize in Earth and environmental sciences, with hands-on research and field experience. I completed an internship with NOAA at the National Weather Service in Houston, Texas, where I gained practical exposure to weather forecasting and atmospheric processes. I’ve also done fieldwork in Northern California on the South Fork Eel River, studying salmon populations and how water temperature changes affect them. I participated in water quality research and data collection in the Tijuana Estuary with San Diego State University as well. I’m patient, detail-oriented, and great at breaking down complex scientific topics into clear, understandable steps.

My science lessons focus on helping you truly understand Earth systems, not just memorize facts. I tutor Earth Science, geology, geomorphology, geography, hydrology and water science, atmospheric dynamics, weather and climate, oceanography, marine science, fisheries, and physical science. Sessions are tailored to your level and goals (middle school through college): we review key concepts, work through practice problems, interpret graphs/data, and build study strategies. I can also help with labs, reports, and exam prep using clear explanations and real-world examples.
