About Sara
I am a perpetual learner. I truly love learning.
But I didn't always feel like this.
Before 8th grade, I despised learning because I thought I was "not good" at it. It was not until I met my 8th grade trigonometry teacher until that all changed.
She believed in me, and put in the extra effort to teach me the critical skills it takes to learn a new subject. She gave me a completely different perspective on not only learning, but on the rest of my life as well.
Students abilities in the classroom are directly correlated to self confidence, and I know this first hand.
If it wasn't for my teacher in 8th grade, I likely would not have gone on to get a full scholarship to the University of South Carolina for Econ and Computer Science, let alone landed a job on Wall Street years later.
I'm now 25 years old and want to be able to help other students the way my teacher helped me.
