About Udochukwu

My name is Udochukwu and I am a friendly, tolerant and competent tutor in economics and I have sound experience in economics and econometrics. I also teach microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics and I enjoy helping students to understand difficult concepts in a clear and practical way.

I help students in areas such as economic theory, regression analysis, model interpretation, hypothesis testing and high-end statistical methods. I break down the subjects one by one, explain the intuition behind the formulae, and use examples in the real world to make lessons more familiar. I also want the students to feel comfortable with the use of their knowledge in examinations, assignments, and research projects.

I take my position as a tutor very seriously and will always be ready, prepared and sensitive to the goals of the student. I create a relaxing and conducive learning atmosphere that promotes questioning and a gradual development. My lessons are quite appropriate both to undergraduate students and post-students and to adult learners studying economics, finance, business, or other relevant disciplines.

About the lesson

I am Udochukwu and my method of tutoring is a student-centered, structured and result-oriented approach to tutoring. I emphasize on promoting true understanding of economic principles as opposed to memorization of formulas. Lessons are carefully individualized to individual learner needs and goals, be it coursework, exams, or research.

My instructional methodology is systematic and step-by-step in approach that incorporates clear theoretical exposition, real world economic examples, diagrams and numerical problem solving. In the area of econometrics, I focus on the intuition behind models, results interpretation, and their application to practice, thus making complicated statistical notions more convenient. I also encourage active involvement using guided inquiry, specific practice tasks, and feedback.

An average lesson period is between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the topic of discussion and the learner of choice. My graduate degree is in Economics; I was strictly trained in the field of microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics. I have a great experience with university students and assignments, tests, and examinations.

My lessons can be applied to the undergraduate and postgraduate students, especially economics, finance, business, or other similar courses as well as the mature students who are in need of academic enhancement.
