In a typical lesson, students can expect us to work through practice problems and past exam questions together.
Whatever you want to learn, please correspond with me over messages before booking a lesson. Let me know specifically:
- in which curriculum (e.g. GCSE)
- where you're having issues (e.g. similar shapes, exponents, etc)
This way, I can make the most of our time together, and the sessions we have will be as useful to you as possible.
️If you are looking for IGCSE mathematics tutoring specifically, please send me:
- the exam board name (e.g. AQA, Oxford AQA, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, etc.)
- for Pearson Edexcel, whether it's Mathematics A (4MA1), B (4MB1), or modular (4WM)
- whether it's higher/extension or foundation/core level
^ this info is often on the front / back cover of the textbook or in the introduction.
My students have received tutoring while living in:
- Cyprus
- France
- The United Kingdom
Currently I do not tutor:
- AS Maths
- A-Level Maths
Boundaries and expectations:
️- If a lesson is currently in progress, I am not willing to reschedule it
- To make the most of our session, please join on a laptop or on a desktop if possible (it will allow us to make full use of screen-sharing).
️Send me a message with your needs! I will respond as soon as I can

I have known Jon for over six years, and I can say that he has the qualities of a great tutor. He is patient and has strong communication skills, using clear and understandable language. He also goes above and beyond when explaining things, and he won’t hesitate to adapt his teaching approach to ensure the person is learning. His dedication and commitment ensure that the student understands whatever topic they are learning.
Jon was my employee (and now dear friend), and working with him made it clear he is one of the smartest people I have ever met.
What I appreciate most about his teaching style is that he makes learning genuinely fun. He is funny but very direct, thinks outside the box, and has an incredibly high emotional intelligence that makes him both approachable and deeply reflective. During our time working together, I watched him communicate through even the most complex situations with ease and clarity. Any student looking for a tutor who is brilliant, engaging, and personally invested in their growth will find exactly that in Jon.I highly recommend Jon to you!
He is kind, perceptive, and enthusiastic. Very smart. He has a lot of cross-cultural experience. He understands the challenges and joys of learning mathematics and languages. He’s been there. Jon will work hard for you. He is superb at math.
He has a fun sense of humor. I know you will enjoy laughing with him. I do. He listens and knows how to teach.
I am Jon’s proud father.View more recommendations
