About Haven
I hold a B.A. in Economics and an M.Sc. in International Economics, with over 13 years of experience teaching economics to students from diverse educational backgrounds. My academic journey deepened my interest in global markets, development patterns, and policy impacts, which strongly influences my teaching approach. My teaching style is calm, discussion-driven, and highly structured. I encourage students to question assumptions, justify their reasoning, and build well-supported answers. Economics becomes truly meaningful when students understand how theories explain real-life choices made by individuals, businesses, and governments. My lessons focus on connecting economic models to everyday experiences such as pricing decisions, employment trends, inflation, trade, and public policy. I guide learners to think critically about cause-and-effect relationships, helping them move beyond memorization toward genuine understanding.
Students begin with foundational concepts including scarcity, opportunity cost, supply and demand, elasticity, and market structures. As lessons progress, learners explore macroeconomic indicators, national income accounting, fiscal and monetary policy, international trade, and global economic challenges. I emphasize diagram interpretation, data analysis, structured writing, and logical evaluation, particularly for exam and assessment success.
Economics lessons also strengthen decision-making, reasoning, and argument-building skills. Over time, students become more confident discussing current events and evaluating economic outcomes. My goal is to help learners feel comfortable analyzing complex issues, expressing informed opinions, and understanding how economic forces shape societies and daily life.
