About Bethany
My interest in economics developed from curiosity about how markets, policies, and individual choices shape societies. This led me to pursue a B.A. in International Economics, where I gained a strong foundation in theory and applied analysis. Over 10 years of teaching, I have helped students develop analytical thinking, conceptual understanding, and confidence in interpreting economic phenomena. I approach teaching with clarity, structure, and engagement. Many learners struggle when concepts are presented abstractly. I focus on providing real-world examples, interactive exercises, and guided problem solving to ensure learners understand both theory and application. Encouraging curiosity and discussion is central to my approach. Outside teaching, I stay informed on economic trends, policy developments, and international markets. This allows me to bring relevant context into lessons and enhance practical understanding. Teaching economics is deeply rewarding because I see learners gain confidence, critical reasoning skills, and the ability to apply their knowledge to analyze and understand complex systems.

Economics becomes relevant when students can see its principles reflected in real-world decisions and policies. My lessons cover microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, fiscal and monetary policies, and applied economic modeling. I emphasize analytical thinking and practical application, helping learners understand not only theories but also their impact on businesses, society, and individual choices. Lesson plans are tailored to the learner’s level. Beginners focus on basic terminology, demand and supply, and foundational concepts. Intermediate learners explore elasticity, market analysis, economic indicators, and case studies. Advanced students refine skills in data interpretation, policy evaluation, game theory, and research-based problem solving. Hands-on exercises, graphical analysis, and guided reasoning are integrated into each lesson. Economics also strengthens critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students learn to evaluate scenarios, predict outcomes, and interpret data effectively. As learners grow confident, they can apply concepts independently to new problems and policy discussions. My goal is to help students connect economic theory with real-world applications, fostering both understanding and analytical insight.
