About Mio
My name is Mio and I am beginning my journey as a tutor to help others on their path to academic excellence! Being academically inclined throughout my school years meant that I was often sought out for help with homework and other assignments. I have always enjoyed helping others understand subjects they might find difficult. Not only is it rewarding to see others work through a difficult problem to find the correct answer, it also helps me to refine and improve my knowledge. I aim to create a thorough, but relaxed approach to learning so that students feel comfortable to make mistakes and find their own way to a solution. My academic achievements should speak for themselves, and as a recent graduate I can certainly sympathise with those still on their learning journey.

My approach to tutoring consists of clear and palatable teaching creating a thorough understanding of key concepts, alongside repetitive testing in the form of summary questions to ensure the newly-learnt topics are retained. The relaxed environment enables students to feel comfortable to make mistakes and to come up with answers on their own- so they are actually learning! Lessons will typically last one hour and they are for ages 15-18 (GCSE to A-Level).
