About Philippa
I’m a graduate of History and Economics from
Oxford University who is passionate about sharing knowledge and mental shortcuts. I have always seen maths as just another puzzle to be solved and I hope I can pass that on to you. I have studied maths from GCSE level, to A Levels, and onto statistics and pure mathematics at university level within my Economics studies. But at each level, I have seen how important it is to simplify the problem and think in a structured way to find the answer.
I have experience working with and mentoring children from age 5 to 18, so I can adapt lesson plans to your age and goals.

I am committed to making maths more fun and engaging for students of all ages. Rigid maths teaching often makes the subject the worst part of your week. I will develop more structured, problem solving skills with you to turn your maths problems into maths puzzles!
I can also tailor our classes to whatever examination board you are working towards up to A Level, to help you achieve your full potential. I have achieved A* in both GCSE and Maths A Levels, and continued my studies at university where I achieved a First in BA History and Economics.
