About Phoebe
My journey in economics began with a fascination for understanding markets, societal choices, and policy implications. This passion led me to pursue a B.A in Economics followed by an M.Sc in Development Studies, gaining deep insights into economic theory, quantitative methods, and applied policy analysis. Over the past 9 years, I have guided students at multiple levels, helping them develop conceptual clarity, analytical skills, and the confidence to interpret real-world economic phenomena.
I believe that teaching economics requires connecting abstract models with practical examples. I create lessons that integrate theory, data interpretation, policy discussion, and scenario analysis, emphasizing critical thinking and independent evaluation. Students are encouraged to question assumptions, apply concepts creatively, and develop both reasoning skills and practical insight. I adapt explanations to each learner’s pace and style, ensuring a supportive and motivating environment.
Outside teaching, I remain engaged with economic research, global policy developments, and applied case studies. This allows me to bring current examples, data, and analysis into the classroom, enriching lessons with practical relevance. Witnessing students progress from uncertainty to confident economic reasoning is deeply rewarding. My mission is to cultivate learners who are not only knowledgeable but capable of applying economic principles effectively in both academic and real-world contexts.
