About Jake
My interest in economics stems from a fascination with human behavior, markets, and the forces shaping societies. I pursued a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in Applied Economics, gaining both theoretical knowledge and practical analytical skills. Over 7 years, I have taught students at multiple levels, helping them grasp complex economic concepts, develop analytical reasoning, and succeed academically. I emphasize clarity, engagement, and real-world relevance in my teaching. Lessons incorporate examples, data interpretation, and guided problem-solving exercises, ensuring students not only understand concepts but also see their practical applications. I encourage curiosity, independent thinking, and discussion to deepen learning. Outside teaching, I stay informed on global economic trends, policy developments, and research in applied economics. I encourage students to explore case studies, problem-solving exercises, and practical applications, helping them develop a strong conceptual foundation and analytical skills for exams or future studies.
Lesson plans are tailored to student level. Beginners learn basic economic principles, terminology, and simple market analysis. Intermediate learners explore elasticity, production, cost functions, and macroeconomic indicators. Advanced students focus on policy analysis, global market trends, econometric reasoning, and critical evaluation of real-world economic issues. Each session blends explanation, examples, and guided problem-solving to reinforce understanding and practical application.
