About Timilehin

I am Timilehin, a quantitative economist and data analyst. I hold a Master's in Economic Policy and Quantitative Methods, and I work with spatial data every day at a climate research institute in Germany, building large geographic databases and mapping data from around the world.

I teach because I enjoy the moment when something that looked complicated finally clicks. GIS and data skills opened real doors for me, and I like passing that on in plain, patient steps. I prepare for each student, I take the work seriously, and I want you to finish every lesson able to do something you could not do before.

About the lesson

I am a quantitative economist and data analyst, and I use Python every day for data and research work. I hold a Master's in Economic Policy and Quantitative Methods, and I have taught and tutored at university level, including as a teaching assistant in advanced economics at the Hertie School in Berlin. So I am comfortable both writing Python and explaining it to people who are new to it.

This is a general Python course. The aim is to get you comfortable with the language itself, so you have a solid base before you go deeper into any area such as data analysis, automation, or web work. Lessons are online by video call and hands-on. I explain each idea in plain words, we write code together on screen, and I set small exercises so the learning sticks.

We start from the very beginning: installing Python, running your first programme, and seeing how the language works. From there we cover the core building blocks, variables and data types, strings, lists, tuples and dictionaries, conditions, loops, and functions. Then we move on to working with files and writing clean, reusable code. If you already know some Python, tell me where you are and we pick up from there.

Lessons usually last 60 minutes, and we can arrange longer sessions when you want more practice.

If you are starting as a complete beginner, the full course runs about 12 weeks, and we can go faster or slower to suit you. If you would like to see the curriculum before you commit, just ask me by chat or in the free first lesson, and I will walk you through what each part covers.

The lessons suit complete beginners and anyone who wants a stronger foundation. I work with students, professionals moving into a more technical role, and people learning to code for the first time.
