About José

Economist, teaching introductory economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and statistical programming for social sciences (STATA, R Project). I have a Degree from Icesi University, with four years giving personalized tutoring, both in English and Spanish, to Colombians and foreigners (through Skype mainly), from Bachelor to Masters' level.

About the lesson

I make personalized classes that make use of the previous concepts, skills, and knowledge the student has, including that he has on different disciplines or fields, to accelerate the learning process. I make intensive use of analogies, examples, technological tools and real-life cases to help interiorize the concepts. I also take into account the particular level of mathematical concepts the student is comfortable using, and what he still has to learn in order to solve mathematical models in economics. I diagnose what is lacking and design fast shortcuts to learn mathematics without stopping the economics learning part.
