About Elly
My name is Elly and I am a qualified Primary School Teacher. I have two children of my own and through my experience teaching and with my own children, I understand the importance of a solid foundation and fun in successful education. Laying a solid foundation for subjects is crucial in the earlier years and I specialise in creating a strong understanding that can carry on to high school and further education.
I have guided many students over the years through difficult stages of their learning. Often students don't enjoy subjects because they don't understand (particularly maths), but once they have a good foundational knowledge of the subject they learn to love it and can actually begin to enjoy it!

I am a qualified teacher having graduated with a Bachelor of Primary Education specialising in Health and Physical Education. I have experience teaching in a classroom as well as private tutoring. I teach in line with the Australian Curriculum, ensuring my students build a strong foundation of knowledge so they are able be confident in their skills in the classroom.
I believe with a good relationship students are more willing to engage with learning content. I always aim to create a positive and engaging experience so my students walk away with knowledge and a sense of enjoyment from my lessons.
I specialise in Primary School Mathematics from Prep - Year 6 but I offer tutoring support for all Primary subjects. The typical length of a 1 on 1 lesson will be 30 minutes, unless additional support or multiple subjects are requested.
