Philosophy of Education:
I believe that the human mind is a creation of our Omnipotent Creator God. It is NOT an evolved functioning survival organ.
This human mind is conjoined with the spirit/ heart of each person for the purpose of bringing glory and honor to our Creator
God through our daily thoughts words and deeds.
God has created each human with specific gifts to be used to bring honor and glory to His Omnipotent name. It is the responsibility of the Godly teacher to help each student find and excel in his or her life gifts and to use their human mind for the honor and glory of our Creator God. This philosophical thought is best summarized with the work of Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner who penned his research through the book Frames Of Mind. In this landmark work, Dr. Gardner presented the mantra for educators that the question for them to ask is not: "How Smart Are You?" but instead: "How Are You Smart?" I fully support this paradigm for education recognizing that the classroom teacher has the responsibility to help students identify and enhance
their individual personal strengths and weaknesses.
